The dunes of Schoorl

For our last weekend hike we drove a bit to the north to an area called Schoorl, just above Alkmaar. A beautiful hilly area near the coast surrounded by dunes and forests. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze and a blue sky. Determined to eventually reach the sea-side behind the dunes, our hike took us through both sandy paths and stunning vegetation. Indeed quite a typical view to the dutch dunes, but its beauty hits me every time.
